Come Together (Like That)

I’m working on “like that” again. The first piece I finished is this one, called “come together”. You can see the applet page and source code here.

“like that” is being written in Processing, which is written in Java, which is being made Free. As with all my art this will be released under a copyleft licence (GPL 3) in an archive containing all work done for the project including any discarded along the way.

  1. Now that is nice, really nice.
    Feature request: –
    1. Up the framera:te to 6000 per sec
    2. Spring motions: ease in – ease out
    3. Variable lighting with motion
    4. Use higher faced polygons

    Is that a commission? 😉
    1. I’ll see what I can do.
    2. I quite like the current effect, it does seem to ease in and out a bit. Springier would be more cartoony, and this is meant to look like looking at.
    3. I love the lighting idea but I don’t know if it fits the concept. I’ll give it a go and see.
    4. The polygons will be replaced with various 2D and 3D shapes in a future iteration. But that’s a different line of investigation (colour, form and choreography being the 3 axes).

  3. Would you accept a commission?

Assuming we’re talking about art and not becoming an officer: yes.
